Short-Term Stays
Short-Term Stays
Short-term stays (respite) give family caregivers a short break so they can get away or attend a family obligation such as a wedding or reunion. The respite resident will enjoy all of the amenities that one of our full-time residents can.
Short-term stays provide a short respite from the responsibilities of home care and are designed to give the caregiver a break and help the loved one refresh and rejuvenate. Caregivers benefit by getting time to look after their own needs and other responsibilities, and residents can get a breath of fresh air and a change of scenery.
We invite families to let us care for their loved ones for as short as a week, or extended to a full month. Residents will enjoy an environment that is safe, comfortable, and with opportunities to make social connections and enjoy all the convenient services and amenities of a Regency Senior Living community.
Transitional Support through Short-Term Stays
After a catastrophic event like a fall with a hip break, stroke, or heart attack, it’s fairly common practice for seniors to spend 2 to 3 weeks in an in-patient rehab facility. But what happens once insurance no longer pays and they still need more therapy before they are strong enough to return home?
Short-term stays at any Regency Senior Living community are a great transition that will help reduce the risk of re-hospitalization and additional rehab which can be costly.
